Azeri scientist to attend 22nd CODATA International Conference

Baku, October 20 (AZERTAC). Director of the Information Technologies Institute of the Academy of National Sciences of Azerbaijan Rasim Aliguliyev will attend the 22nd CODATA International Conference entitled “Scientific Information for Society: From Today to the Future” to be held in Capetown, South Africa on October 24-27.

According to the institute, the conference will hold discussions on Scientific Data for Sustainable Development, e-Science and e-Science Networks, Infoscience and Computational informatics, Data Mining/Knowledge Management, Interoperability and Data Integration, Earth and Environmental Data, Biological Science, Medical and Health Data and Physical Science Data.

During the event, Aliguliyev will make a presentation on “e-science in Azerbaijan: current situation and prospects for development”.

During the report, the director will speak of implementation of national strategy for development of science and e-science program in Azerbaijan.
