AZERTAC, ANTARA SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON COOPERATION

Director General of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency AZERTAC Mr. Aslan Aslanov and President of the Indonesia’s national News Agency Antara Mr. Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf signed The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the two agencies as Antara was celebrating its 70th anniversary in Jakarta on 13 December, AZERTAC special correspondent reported from the Indonesian capital.

Addressing the celebration ceremony Mr. Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf underlined the need for strengthening partnership among news agencies and joining efforts to respond more effectively to the global threats and challenges.

During the event, employees of Antara who had worked for the agency for over 30 years were awarded special prizes. Participants also saw a documentary about Antara’s 70-year activity.

The delegation of AZERTAC is visiting Jakarta to attend the 13th General Assembly and the 29th meeting of the Board of the Organization of the Asia-Pacific News Agencies.
