Baku hosts 4th meeting of Azerbaijan-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation
Baku, January 28 (AZERTAC). The 4th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation has today been held in Baku.
Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev noted that the Azerbaijan-Hungary relations were built on the foundations of mutual respect and fruitful cooperation, stressing the importance of high-level reciprocal visits of the both countries presidents in terms of expanding the bilateral bonds.
Mustafayev said the two countries enjoyed successful cooperation in a variety of fields, including industry, energy, transport, agriculture, communication and information technologies, pharmaceutics, environment, culture, and tourism. The trade turnover between the two countries grew nearly 40 per cent.
Hungarian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto hailed the development of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, saying his country attaches great importance to expanding bilateral relations with Azerbaijan.
He also noted there was big potential for enhancing cooperation between Hungary and Azerbaijan in the fields of medicine, agriculture, tourism, and energy.
Co-chairs of the Azerbaijan-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Shahin Mustafayev and Peter Szijjarto signed the minutes of the 4th meeting.
