Baku hosts Azerbaijan-Israel ICT business forum
Baku, December 4 (AZERTAC). An Azerbaijan-Israel ICT business forum has been held in Baku as part of the BakuTel-2013, the 19th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition.
The forum was organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCI), and the Israeli Embassy in Baku.
Addressing the event, chairman of the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alex Kaplun said relations between the two countries had been developing in recent years.
Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies Elmir Valizade noted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM) project was signed on the sidelines of the BakuTel-2013, adding it will contribute to strengthening the Azerbaijan-Israel relations even further.
Mr Valizade said Azerbaijan was interested in cooperation with Israel in the field of cybersecurity.
Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz also made a speech at the event.
The meeting has been held in the form of B2B.
