Baku hosts international conference on land evaluation
Baku, December 9 (AZERTAC). An international conference on “Land evaluation, its significance for country, solution of the problems” has kicked off in Baku. The event has been organized within the Twinning project “Support to the State Land and Cartography Committee of Azerbaijan in establishment of modern registration system of land cadastre information through improving rules on land evaluation in accordance with the European standards and economic evaluation of land”.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of State Land and Cartography Committee Garib Mammadov said that the event aims at discussion and comparison of modern practices, apply the international practice in the direction of improving methodologies on land evaluation in accordance with the European evaluation standards in the country.
Within this project, two pilot areas have been selected in Azerbaijan (Khirdalan as Absheron city cadastre, Saray settlement as a rural cadastre). All factors playing role in the land evaluation of these territories have been studied, systemized and their cadastral evaluation maps have been compiled.
The conference will last 2 days.
