Baku hosts ninth meeting of Azerbaijan-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation
Baku, April 22 (AZERTAC). A ninth meeting of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation took place in Baku Thursday.
Co-chairs of the Commission First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov and his Ukrainian colleague, First Deputy Prime Minister and minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Andrey Klyuyev briefed the participants on progress achieved in different spheres of Ukraine-Azerbaijan cooperation.
Yagub Eyyubov described current status of the Azerbaijan economic development. He said trade turnover between two countries has increased by two times and made up 1.4 billion USD. According to Eyyubov, Azerbaijan ranks second among Ukraine`s biggest trading partners in CIS. He also emphasized the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in the field of education, culture, sports, IT, tourism and transport is very promising.
Yagub Eyyubov and Andrey Klyuyev then signed an outcome protocol.
