BAKU HOSTS ROUND TABLE FOR AZERBAIJANI, RUSSIAN SCIENTISTS
Baku, September 30 (AZERTAC). A round table entitled “Towards modernization: International scientific cooperation between academic institutes of Russia and Azerbaijan” was held Wednesday at the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of the ANAS.
The event brought together educational experts of both countries, including director of the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of ANAS, professor Ilham Mammadzade and deputy director of the Institute of Philosophy & Law, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor Yuri Popkov.
Mammadzade spoke of relations and scientific ties between the two countries.
Other speakers praised Azerbaijan political stability and effective use of oil&gas resources in the country.
Popkov, in turn, briefed the attendees on ongoing important researches at the Institute of Philosophy & Law, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
He praised close friendly ties and scientific cooperation between the scientists of Azerbaijan and Russia.
Popkov stressed the modern scientific relations would play a key role in establishment of new ties between the two countries.
The “round table” ended with the signing of an agreement on scientific cooperation between the institutes of Azerbaijan and Russia.
