‘Job fair’ organized by General Board on Employment of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Population started at Baku Sports Palace on September 24.

643 enterprises, offices, and organizations taking part at the fair have suggested about 3500 vacancies. More than half of the participants fall to the share of private sector. Along with large state and private enterprises, 33 foreign companies working in Azerbaijan, also take part at the fair. These companies have suggested more than 200 vacancies. Average monthly pay suggested by state and private enterprises is 361 thousands manats. Foreign companies suggested 700 thousands manats.

Overall, at the job fairs over a period of 1997-2003, more than 33 thousands people were employed. Fair will finish its work on 25 September.
