BSEC PA HOLDS MEETING IN TBILISI
Delegation of Azerbaijan is headed by MP Asaf Hajiyev, who told AZERTAC correspondent: “The meetings of Bureau and commissions were held on December 10, and the Assembly’s extended meeting is to begin the other day. The agenda includes questions “Priorities in cooperation of the BSEC countries in energy field”, “Global climate change: Improvement of life conditions in BSEC countries”, etc. The energy questions are directly connected to Azerbaijan, the MP said. “This once again shows what importance has our country in global energy issues”.
Security of the energy projects being realized in connection with transportation of the energy carriers from the Caspian basin is, perhaps, in focus. The participants will also touch settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, a threat for region. Armenians set arsons at the occupied areas of Azerbaijan. The BSEC member countries will state their position and declare that any cooperation with Armenia is inadmissible until the occupied territories are not liberated.
Armenians have several times lifted the question that they wish to join the regional cooperation projects and they even created many obstacles for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.
The delegation also comprises MPs Musa Guliyev and Jala Aliyeva.
