CHAIRMAN OF AZERBAIJAN’S SUPREME COURT VISITS TURKEY
A delegation headed by Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court, Ramiz Rzayev is visiting Ankara. As reported, Ramiz Rzayev separately met Monday with the Turkish Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin and head of the Turkish Court of Appeals, Hasan Gerceker, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Hashim Kilic and Prosecutor General Abdurrahman Yalchinkaya.
Mehmet Ali Sahin said during the meeting that the cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan should also be developed in the field of justice, and the two countries helped each other in legal issues.
Speaking of the goal of visit, Mr. Ramiz Rzayev said that there was a need to bring Turkish and Azeri legal systems closer, and his country had been exerting efforts to that end.
As stated, during the visit, no documents are expected to be signed.
On 15 April, Ramiz Rzayev is said to meet the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Speaker of Turkish Parliament Koksal Toptan.
