CHAIRMAN OF CONSTITUTIONAL COURT MET HEAD OF OSCE BAKU OFFICE
Highly assessing cooperation between the constitutional Court and OSCE Baku Office, Mr. Abdullayev expressed to the representation of OSCE gratitude for assistance and support rendered in training seminars conducted in separate regions of Republic and dedicated to the rules of appealing to the Constitutional Court and methods to study the complaints in the Constitutional Court, also sated that such arrangements play significant role for legal awareness in the society and more effective protection of the Constitutional rights and freedoms. It was noted that Constitutional Court attaches great interest to the experience of the European bodies of Constitutional supervision, constantly keeps in focus activity of the European Court on human rights, applies resolutions of this international court in cases, considered by the Constitutional Court of the Azerbaijan republic, tries directly to watch tendency of development of modern European Constitutional law.
Head of the OSCE Baku Office Mr. Maurizio gave high assessment to the cooperation with local Constitutional Court, underlining keenness in development and expansion of these ties. The guest noted that Constitutional Court plays important role in forming civil society and mechanism of appealing with individual complaints sets favorable condition for protection of human rights and freedoms through the court.
In the meeting, also were discussed questions of mutual interest.
