Chinese scientists visit Institute of Economy of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Baku, October 20 (AZERTAC). Chief of the Institute of Economy of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Isa Aliyev met representatives of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Aliyev briefed on activity of the institute, international scientific cooperation and the upcoming tasks.

Director-general of international relations department of CAS Yuang Yuang gave the detailed information about the structure. He said CAS has 12 branch offices, 103 institutes with legal entity, more than 100 national key laboratories and national engineering research centers, and about 1,000 field stations throughout the country. Mr. Yuang said Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is a leading academic institution and comprehensive research and development center in natural science, technological science and high-tech innovation in China. He stressed importance of development of the close relations between Chinese and Azerbaijani scientists.
