CICA CONDEMNS CAPTURE OF KOREANS IN AFGHANISTAN
The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has released a statement saying ‘the member-states of CICA condemn the capturing of 23 Korean citizens, who dealt with trainings and medical service for the local people, on 19 July in Gazni province of Afghanistan’.
The statement further goes on to state that the CICA member-states are deeply grieved by atrocious execution of the two hostages on July 26 and 31 and express their sincere condolences to their relatives.
The CICA, which is keen on peace, safety and stability in Asia, demands soonest unconditional release of all hostages and urges all relevant sides to do utmost in solving the problem.
