On 15 April, at the PACE ongoing spring session, CoE Ministerial Committee Chairman, Foreign Minister of Slovakia Jan Kubish reported on the activity of the Committee and its work to expand ties with the OSCE, UN and the European Union.

Speaking of the situation on the South Caucasus, Chairman of Ministerial Committee updated on his visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing hope for quick resolution top the Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Jan Kubish in detailed informed on the happenings in Armenia after presidential elections, on his meetings with the country’s officials, opposition leaders and public figures.

The CoE Ministerial Committee Chairman said in late April he is going to visit Azerbaijan.

In reply to the question of Azerbaijani Deputy Ganira Pshayeva, Jan Kubish reminded his meeting with Azeri and Armenian community in Sweden last year, which, according to him, was an important step made in this direction.
