Concert dedicated to World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day held in London

A concert dedicated to World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day was held in London, organized by the British Azerbaijani Association.
Addressing the event, the Association’s Chairman Hafiz Bakhshaliyev described World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day as a symbol of national unity and solidarity. He emphasized that the unity, mutual support, and commitment to national values of Azerbaijanis living abroad play an important role in strengthening Azerbaijan. He stressed that the primary mission of diaspora organizations is to bring Azerbaijanis together, preserve national identity, and pass it on to future generations.
Speaking at the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United Kingdom Elin Suleymanov noted that Azerbaijan is today a state whose strength and international standing continue to grow both regionally and globally. He highlighted that, thanks to the far-sighted and consistent policies of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has achieved significant progress in the political, economic, and cultural spheres. The Ambassador also underlined the importance of promoting Azerbaijani culture abroad and emphasized the special role of diaspora organizations in enhancing the country’s international image.
The event featured a concert program by Aisel (Aysel Mammadova), Azerbaijan’s representative at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. The talented performer enriched the evening with performances of both traditional Azerbaijani music and contemporary pop songs.
