CROATIAN PRESIDENT VISITS ICHERI SHEHER
President of Croatia Stjepan Mesic and members of the Croatian delegation took a walk in the Icheri Sheher on Tuesday.
The walk began from the “Azerbaijan carpets” showroom of the “Azerkhalcha” production enterprise. Later on, the Croatian delegation visited the Carpet Museum after people’s artist Kamil Aliyev, Karvan-saray and Maiden’s Tower.
Croatian Leader was told about the history of Azerbaijani carpet weaving.
Kamran Imanov, chief of the department for the state historical conservancy “Icheri Sheher” (Inner Town), updated the Head of Croatia on the government’s actions to protect and restore historical monuments in Icheri Sheher.
