“Days of the Petersburg Philosophy-2010" held in St.-Petersburg
Moscow, November 22 (AZERTAC). The St.-Petersburg State University organized the "Days of Petersburg Philosophy-2010", dedicated to the World Day of Philosophy which this year is marked on November 18. Traditional action attended also by known scientists from many countries, has been organized with support of the Government of St.-Petersburg.
At plenary session speaking was the chairman of Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation, doctor of jurisprudence, professor Sergey Stepashin, academician Robert Nigmatulin, the director of the State Hermitage Michael Piotrovsky and other prominent representatives of scientific community.
With support of Representation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation, in the forum was also taking part the doctoral candidate of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the adviser of the vice-president of Russian Philosophical Union on international affairs Ariz Gezalov, who delivered a lecture on the theme “Globalization, dialogue of cultures and the problem of national identity”.
Ariz Gezalov as a member of presidium also took part in work of the general session of Presidium of the Russian Philosophical Society devoted to the All-Russia Philosophical Congress to pass in August 2012 in Nizhni Novgorod.
The Azerbaijani scientist presented to participants of action the book “Interaction of cultures in the conditions of globalization”, published on the basis of materials of the Moscow conference organized by the Representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation together with the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
