DELEGATION OF AZERBAIJAN DEFENSE INDUSTRY MINISTRY VISITED JORDAN
The delegation of Azerbaijan`s Defense Industry Ministry led by Minister Yaver Jamalov paid a two-day visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
On the first day of the visit, the Azeri delegation met with Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Marouf Al-Bakhit.
Yaver Jamalov described Azerbaijan-Jordan relations as rapidly developing.
He said Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev`s last month visit to Jordan marked a new phase in the development of the two countries` ties.
The Azerbaijani Minister also recalled Jordanian King Abdullah II`s and Premier Marouf Al-Bakhit`s last year visits to Baku.
Yaver Jamalov informed the Jordanian Premier about reforms carried out in Azerbaijan as well as the country`s achievements in energy and non-oil sector.
The Minister also touched on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and expressed his gratitude to the Jordanian Government for supporting his country on this issue.
Jordanian Premier Marouf Al-Bakhit said his country wants the dispute to be peacefully solved.
The Azeri delegation also met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Khaled Jamil Al Sarayrah.
Yaver Jamalov stressed the importance of boosting bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan in all areas, including military.
The Azeri Minister said his country supports stability and peace in the region.
General Khaled Al Sarayrah said the Azerbaijani delegation`s visit will be a huge boost to bilateral relations between the two countries.
He said Jordan will continue supporting Azerbaijan`s just stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Azerbaijani delegation also met with Director General of the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau Muayyad Samman.
Muayyad Samman informed Yaver Jamalov about the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau.
