Delegation of New Azerbaijan Party concludes visit to Cuba

As part of its visit to Cuba, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Tahir Budagov met with Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba.
Highlighting the fruitful relations between the two countries, the parties emphasized the potential for expanded cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, tourism, healthcare, education, and other fields.
The delegation also met with Teresa Amarelle Boué, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and Secretary General of the Federation of Cuban Women, as well as Meyvis Estevez Echevarría, Member of the Central Committee of the PCC and First Secretary of the Young Communist League.
During the meetings, both sides expressed optimism that the visit would be mutually beneficial, strengthening Azerbaijani-Cuban relations and fostering comprehensive cooperation. They described the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the YAP and the PCC as a key step in enhancing bilateral ties and identifying new areas for collaboration.
The discussions also focused on youth policy in both countries, highlighting efforts to increase the participation of young people in public and political life, and stressing the importance of strengthening connections in this area.
As part of the visit, the YAP delegation also attended FIHAV 2025, the Havana International Fair, Cuba’s premier multi-sector trade exhibition.
