DREAMS RESEMBLING REALITY - VESNA CERNIVEC, A PHOTOGRAPHER FROM SLOVENIA
Works by well-known Slovenian photographer Vesna Cernivec displayed at an exhibition opened in the framework of 3rd Aluminium International Festival of Contemporary Art at the Baku Museum Center on Wednesday attracted special attention of the visitors.
Gleaming light is what draws the visitors’ attention on her first work, peering into which, you are feeling like your look is being lost in the endlessness of the horizon.
Flowing together with that infinity, a shadow of the airplane depicted on the second snapshot, as if, is telling about the existence of the truth beyond dreams, fantasies and meditations.
Finally, the third photo reflects impressions of an invisible traveler. An airplane’s undercarriage seen through its window as if gets you back into the real life.
Meaning content of the snapshots organically supplementing each other, produces a special impression on the viewers: in order to see the other side of realities, a human has always searching for something that exists beyond the world, because there has always been a fundamental distinction between fantasies, dreams and reality.
Previously, Ms. Vesna Cernivec was participating in the 2nd international festival of photographic art in May, 2007 in Baku.
Cernivec, who visited those days AZERTAC with a group of other participants of the festival, continues to maintain her creative ties with the agency.
