EMOMALI RAHMON VISITS ICHARI SHAHAR
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has today visited Ichari Shahar (Old City), the historical core of Azerbaijan`s capital, Baku.
Mr. Rahmon familiarized himself with a carpet exhibition at the Azerbaijan Khalchalari (Azerbaijani Carpets) Exhibition Hall.
The Tajik President was informed about the carpet-making history in Azerbaijan.
Then, he viewed the Karvansara where he had a tea party and enjoyed Azerbaijani folk music.
The Tajik leader was presented a hand-woven carpet and a book and a videocassette about Ichari Shahar.
Emomali Rahmon also viewed the Maiden Tower.
