ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA AMENDS INFORMATION ON GARA GARAYEV’S NATIONAL BELONGING
The Encyclopædia Britannica amended the information on Gara Garayev’s national belonging, press service of MFA said.
At his words, it was appealed to Dale Hoiberg, the editor-in-chief of Encyclopedia Britannica as they introduced Azerbaijani great composer Gara Garayev as an Armenian.
“The editor-in-chief said that he was not aware of this and gave instructions to make urgent steps.As far as digital version of the encyclopedia is updated once in two weeks you can see the change on September 5. We will make a change to the book version in the next edition,” he said.
The head office of Encyclopedia Britannica is in the State of Illinois, USA.
