European film festival due in Baku
Baku, November 30, (AZERTAC). A press conference dedicated to the coming European film festival in Baku took place at the Landmark Hotel of capital city of Azerbaijan.
The festival is organized in common with representation of the European Union (EU) in Azerbaijan, the Culture and Tourism Ministry of republic and embassies of EU member states in Azerbaijan.
At the conference, speaking was the head of EU representation in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Kobia, who told that the festival to pass from December 10 to December 16, is contribution to creation and development of cultural contact between the EU countries and Azerbaijan, propagation of the European values, cultures.
During the festival 14 films of the EU countries will be demonstrated. These films lift such problems exciting mankind as migration, unemployment, bureaucracy, old age, and also global warming and other themes. The festival will open with the Belgian film "Hop".
All films will have subtitles in English, and some – in the Azerbaijan and Russian languages.
