The exhibition of pictures of the Azerbaijani painters devoted to the Independence Day of Azerbaijan was opened in one of the prestigious buildings in Budapest.

The exhibition was initiated by embassy of Azerbaijan to Hungary, Azerbaijan Artists’ Union.

Famous Azerbaijani painters Farhad Khalilov, Rasim Babayev, Mirnadir Zeynalov, Sahlab Mammadov, Fuad Salayev, Nazim Beykishiyev, Altay Sadikhzade and others presented their works at the exhibition.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Hungary Hasan Hasanov told of the Azerbaijani unique art and dwelt upon the culture policy pursued by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The opening ceremony was attended by chairman of the Azerbaijan Artists’ Union Farhad Khalilov. He will meet with his Hungarian counterparts and visit museum of fine arts.

Among those invited were diplomatic corps representatives, Hungarian figures of art and culture, businessmen and journalists of leading Hungarian newspapers, Azerbaijani Diaspora members and Azerbaijan students.

The exhibition will run until October 22.
