FOREIGN MINISTRY’S PRESS CENTER RELEASES STATEMENT ON ANNIVERSARY OF GUBADLY OCCUPATION
The Press Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has released a statement on the anniversary of the occupation of the country’s region of Gubadly.
According to the statement, the occupation of Gubadly by Armenia in August 1993, forced 31,364 Azerbaijani citizens to leave their homes and become internally displaced.
The UN Security Council’s resolution N 874 like a number of similar documents adopted by this and other international organizations demanding immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian troops from the occupied territories, remains ignored by the country.
Azerbaijan will use all existing possibilities within the international law to restore its territorial integrity.
