FORUM OF DIPLOMATIC REPRESENTATIVES HOLDS SESSION IN BAKU
Speaking at the Forum, with a report “On the work carried out in bodies of the Office of Public Prosecutor in the field of maintenance of the rights and freedom of the persons and the citizen, on the conducted democratic reforms and the achieved successes”, the deputy general public prosecutor Eldar Nuriyev has told about the measures which have been carried out in Azerbaijan, which, in the years of independence under the direction of the national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev comprehensively was integrated into the world community, on the way of construction of the legal, democratic and civil state, formation of a civil society.
Then, was given detailed information on reforms and structural alterations carried out in bodies of Office of the Public Prosecutor of the Azerbaijan Republic, creation of the standard-legal base regulating activity of Office of the Public Prosecutor, on the affairs carried out in connection with the correct organization of work on directions of activity, stipulated in the Law “On Public Prosecutor”, on the measures taken in bodies of Office of the Public Prosecutor in the field of maintenance of reliable protection of the rights and freedom of the person and citizen, supremacy of law, strengthening of combat against criminality. Visitors have been in detail informed on employment in the Office of the Public Prosecutor, on the basis of democratic and transparent procedures and in conditions of transparency.
In a number of the measures which have been carried out in the direction of further improvement of Office of the Public Prosecutor as institute of state, creation at the general public prosecutor of Management on combat against corruption according to the Order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on March 3, 2004, “On application of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “On combat against corruption” was assessed as embodiment of trust rendered to bodies of Office of the Public Prosecutor at the state level, and the important step directed on the further improvement of structure of Office of the Public Prosecutor.
At the session, it has been marked, that in conditions of strengthening of positions of the Azerbaijan Republic on international arena, expansions of cooperation with the international organizations and achievements of successes in the field of bilateral and regional cooperation are carried out purposeful measures in the field of the further expansion of the international connections of Office of the Public Prosecutor of Republic, development of bilateral mutually advantageous links with bodies of Office of the Public Prosecutor of the world states, adjustments of effective relations of cooperation with the authoritative international organizations.
Among the measures directed on development of contacts with bodies of Office of the Public Prosecutor of the world states, has been especially underlined the value of visits to Azerbaijan of the delegations headed by the general public prosecutor of the Supreme National Office of Public Prosecutor of the People’s Republic of China Tszya Chinvan and the general public prosecutor of the Austrian Republic Walter Presslawer, the signed programs on cooperation
At the session, heads of corresponding structural divisions of Office of the Public Prosecutor have answered numerous questions interested for visitors, carried out exchange of views on prospects of cooperation on the questions representing common interests.
During the action, participants have familiarized with the office building of the Educational Center of the State Office of Public Prosecutor organized at a level of modern standards, with library, audiences, subject studies of various purpose.
