Forum on Azerbaijan`s tourism held in Berlin
Berlin, March 12 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan`s embassy to Germany, Central and Eastern Europe Society and Society for Tourism Development in Eastern Europe have organized here a forum entitled “Current situation in and prospects for development of tourism sector in Azerbaijan” as part of the ITB international tourism fair.
Opening the event, ambassador Shahbazov spoke about conutry`s economic achievements, development of Azerbaijan-Germany relations in tourism sector. He pointed out 2011 was designated the Year of Tourism in Azerbaijan.
The aim of the event is to discuss situation in the tourism sector of Azerbaijan and examine opportunities for cooperation in the field.
The forum was attended by some 100 representatives of travel agencies, German MPs, officials, embassy employees, media.
