Dear Mr. President,
On behalf of the Lithuanian people and on my own behalf, I extend our congratulations to you on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s national holiday - Republic Day. I send my best wishes for the lasting prosperity and peace of your nation as well as for your strong commitment and success in advancing Azerbaijan’s well-being and security.
For many years Azerbaijan has been an important partner of the European Union in the region. Therefore I would like to sincerely wish you and your country the dynamism needed to further promote mutually beneficial relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
In the next half year, Lithuania will preside over the Council of the European Union. I strongly hope that we will be able to consolidate our common achievements and build even stronger cooperation ties between Azerbaijan and the European Union at the EU Eastern Partnership Summit to be held at the end of this year.
May I again congratulate you on Republic Day, Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.
