Georgia, Azerbaijan to establish working group to boost agricultural cooperation
Tbilisi, November 26, AZERTAC
“A working group will be established to enhance sectoral cooperation in agriculture between Georgia and Azerbaijan,” said David Songulashvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, during his meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov.
The sides discussed opportunities for further cooperation in agriculture, including prospects for expanding trade and economic relations. They emphasized the importance of collaboration, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience in food safety, veterinary medicine, phytosanitary standards, scientific research, and field education programs.
The meeting also focused on the creation of working groups to increase the effectiveness of inter-sectoral cooperation between the two countries in agriculture.
