German Azerbaijanis protest against murder of Azerbaijani child by Armenian sniper
Baku, March 20 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijani diaspora in Germany has held a protest march in front of the Brandenburg Gate in central Berlin against the killing of 9-year-old Fariz Badalov by an Armenian sniper, the State Committee on Diaspora said.
Participants of the march, Co-organized by the Coordinating Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany and the House of Azerbaijan, included representatives of the Azerbaijani and Jewish and Turkish diasporas s well as pupils of a local football school.
A statement featuring the image of Fariz Badalov was sent by the participants to the Bundestag committee on human rights and humanitarian assistance, five major factions of the German parliament, humanitarian organizations, EU and UNICEF`s office in Germany.
The 9-year-old resident of the Orta Garvand village in the Agdam region was killed on March 8 as a result of a ceasefire violation by Armenian troops. Badalov was shot in head while playing in his yard. He was taken to hospital but doctors failed to save his life.
