GOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION TO DEAL WITH BAKU BUILDING COLLAPSE HOLDS ITS FIRST MEETING
The Governmental commission to investigate the building collapse in Yasamal district of Baku convened its first meeting on August 31. The commission was set up August 29 by presidential executive order.
The meeting discussed causes of the accident, which occurred on the Murtuza Mukhtarov str in Baku, and ways of eliminating the consequences of the accident.
Meeting participants pointed out that respective government agencies have taken necessary actions to realize the President’s instructions in due course. Thus, building collapse victims received necessary aid.
The meeting participants decided to step up efforts aimed at clearing tons of rubble and debris from the building collapse site and inspecting the technical condition of neighboring buildings.
