‘GUAM MEMBER STATES WILL RAISE COMMODITY TURNOVER TO $10bn, VALERI CHECHELASHVILI
Secretary General of GUAM Valeri Chechelashvili said the organization`s member states will increase the commodity turnover to $10 billion in the nearest five years.
According to Chechelashvili, regional conflicts is what mostly impedes the development of GUAM countries.
“This is why, GUAM pays great attention to settlement of disputes”
Chechelashvili underlined the adoption of a Baku Declaration during Azerbaijan`s chairmanship of GUAM laid a foundation for developing the organization and boosting mutual efforts towards settlement of conflicts.
He stressed UN General Assembly`s recently adopted resolution on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is a vivid example of strong partnership ties among GUAM member states.
