Guinea-Bissau keen to benefit from Azerbaijan’s energy experience

Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, met with Viriato Luis Soares Cassama, Minister of Environment, Biodiversity and Climate Action of Guinea-Bissau.
The meeting focused on Azerbaijan’s cross-border projects in oil and gas, and renewables, developing the country’s green energy potential, as well as improving Guinea-Bissau’s energy supply.
Minister Cassama noted that Guinea-Bissau is willing to benefit from Azerbaijan’s rich energy experience. According to him, Guinea-Bissau is also eyeing to collaborate with Azerbaijan in sharing expertise in oil and gas, electricity, and energy regulation, as well as capacity building. In this vein, the officials agreed on developing a roadmap, organizing expert meetings, and holding seminars.
