Heads of presidential and parliamentary libraries gather in Baku
Baku, July 1 (AZERTAC). Baku hosted a meeting of heads of presidential and parliamentary libraries as part of an international conference marking the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of Azerbaijan.
Director of the Presidential Library Mayil Ahmadov hailed the conference as fruitful.
The event heard reports by deputy director of the Presidential Library Jamila Talybzade, consultant of the Library Aliyusif Mammadov, chief of Bibliography department of the Baku State University Nadir Ismayilov.
The meeting featured discussions involving representatives of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Belarus, Lithuania, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Russia and Ukraine.
Academic Secretary of Presidential Library Kamala Sarijalinskaya, General Director of the National Library after Martinas Majvidas of Lithuania Renaldas Gudauskas, director on information resources of Presidential Library after Boris Yeltsin Yelena Jabko and General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Ukraine Tamara Vilegjanina made speeches at the event.
Head of library and archive service of Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mehmet Toprak proposed implanting joint projects.
Deputy Director of Presidential Library of Belarus Lyudmila Naumova thanked the Azerbaijani government for excellent organization of the event.
