Hungarian ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Diaspora Committee

Fuad Muradov, Chairperson of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora, met with Hungarian ambassador to the country Tamás Yojef Torma.
Speaking about the successful diaspora policy pursued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the Chairperson also drew attention to Hungary`s hosting of the meeting of the heads of the organizations responsible for diaspora issues of the Organization of Turkic-speaking States (OTG), which will be held soon.
He noted that the event will contribute to the deepening of relations between the participating countries and creating new cooperation formats.
Fuad Muradov highlighted the multifaceted projects such as "Azerbaijan Houses" in foreign countries, weekend schools, Coordination Councils, as well as the efforts of Azerbaijani diaspora.
The ambassador emphasized the importance of expanding cultural relations between the two countries, adding that Hungary has always supported Azerbaijan's fair stance.
The meeting explored the importance of strengthening relations between Azerbaijani and Hungarian diaspora organizations, promoting cultural and humanitarian projects, increasing exchange programs, especially for young people, and implementing joint projects.
The visits of the officials of diaspora institutions from member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) to Azerbaijan, including Karabakh, were also in spotlight of the meeting.
Tamás Yojef Torma expressed his love for the Azerbaijani language and his desire to learn it.
The ambassador was presented with the books “Azerbaijani language” published for the compatriots abroad with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and “A grammar of contemporary Azerbaijani” prepared for foreigners, who eager to learn the Azerbaijani language.
