IMF MISSION HEAD GIVES PRESS CONFERENCE
Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, Deputy Director of the Fund`s Middle East and Central Asia Department Vitali Kramarenko gave a press conference in Baku Thursday to sum up his visit.
Kramarenko said he discussed with Azeri officials implementation of projects under the State Investment Program, which provides for the development of energy, education, health and transport sectors.
Vitali Kramarenko said he held talks at the ministries of economic development, finance and taxes, as well as at the National Bank, State Customs Committee, State Oil Fund and State Oil Company.
He praised the Azerbaijani government`s policy towards preventing intensification of inflation.
According to Kramarenko, the inflation rate has been 15% in Azerbaijan over the last twelve months, and inflation will not probably intensify.
Vitali Kramarenko said that the non-oil budget`s growth rate will help keep macroeconomic stability and stabilize the inflation rate.
