IN HONOR OF NATIONAL HOLIDAY OF TURKEY
Having welcomed the visitors on celebratory ceremony, ambassador Ahmad Unal Chevikez has stated that the Republic of Turkish created on strong base today confidently moves ahead on the way of development and progress.
Being a member both of the Turkic world and the European family, Turkey in ХХ1 century aspires to protection of democratic values in the world, to continuation of dialogue between numerous cultures. The Turkish Republic left by great Ataturk in heritage to his people is capable to carry out it.
The Ambassador has noted that Turkey hopefully looks at the future of Azerbaijan. Each new step undertaken by Azerbaijan to take a worthy place in family of the world states is a source of pride for Turkey. The Ambassador has emphasized that as sons and daughters of two independent states, but one nation, we scoop force from each other and we highly value it. Turkey does and will use the best efforts henceforth for maintenance of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The diplomat has expressed deep respect for brought memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev who has invaluable merits in transformation of Azerbaijan to a democratic, dynamically developed country, strengthening of the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood. Having informed, that he ends his diplomatic mission and after two days will leave the Country, the Ambassador has expressed to Azerbaijan people gratitude for the hospitality rendered to him in Azerbaijan.
Speaking at ceremony, Chairman of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament) Murtuz Alaskarov has stated that this holiday is equally valuable both for the Turkish and Azerbaijani peoples. On behalf of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham, Aliyev he has congratulated participants of ceremony, all the Turkish people on the occasion of this significant date, has conveyed greetings and kind wishes of the Head of State.
M. Alaskarov also spoke on the role of mutual visits of the heads of state on close cooperation of the friendly and brotherly countries. He has told: “Our states have signed many important documents. These documents have set ground for our strategic cooperation. The Turkish people highly have estimated merits of the outstanding son of Azerbaijan people, our national leader Heydar Aliyev.
At the ceremony, it has been marked the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are extremely wide. Construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas main will serve prompt development of our countries, maintenance of the peace and security on the Caucasus.
Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament has also dwelt on inter-parliamentary links. He has told: “Close cooperation of representatives of our countries in the international organizations bears good fruits. By means of Turkey, Azerbaijan integrates into the Euro-Atlantic family.
At the ceremony also was present Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov, ministers, MPs, ambassadors of foreign countries in Baku, men of science, literature and art.
