IPU Secretary General visits Azercosmos and Shamakhi Juma Mosque

As part of his visit to Azerbaijan, Martin Chungong, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), visited the Main Satellite Ground Control Center of Azercosmos in Shamakhi district.
The Secretary General was informed about the establishment and development of the space sector in the country, as well as Azerbaijan's space capabilities.
Then, Martin Chungong, familiarized himself with the historical landmarks of the district.
At the Shamakhi Juma Mosque, the IPU Secretary General was informed about the history of this ancient monument, its architectural and archaeological significance.
As part of the visit, Martin Chungong also visited the Creativity Center established with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Shamakhi.
