Islamic Development Bank delegation visits Garabagh

A delegation led by Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Muhammad Al Jasser, accompanied by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, visited Garabagh.
Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the Azerbaijani President in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, briefed the guests on the ongoing reconstruction and construction efforts, as well as the implemented infrastructure projects.
During the visit to Aghdam Industrial Park, the delegation reviewed production activities at local enterprises and discussed export-oriented growth, increased production capacity, and cooperation opportunities with the Islamic Development Bank.
During their visit to the liberated territories, the guests familiarized themselves with educational and social infrastructure projects in Fuzuli, including the Kurmangazy Children’s Creativity Center built by Kazakhstan, Kindergarten-Nursery No. 1, and Secondary school No. 1 named after Mirzo Ulugbek, constructed as a gift on behalf of the Uzbek people. They were informed about the modern infrastructure established at the educational and social institutions, the innovative approaches being implemented, and the opportunities created for the comprehensive development of children.
As part of their trip to Shusha, the guests explored the city’s historical and cultural landmarks. Aydin Karimov briefed them on ongoing large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects.
The delegation also toured Garabagh University in Khankendi, where they familiarized themselves with the university’s modern teaching facilities and academic environment. It was highlighted that the institution holds substantial potential for educating highly qualified professionals capable of contributing to the region’s socio-economic advancement.
The guests were informed that large-scale reconstruction in the liberated territories, the development of modern infrastructure, and the creation of a favorable investment environment are significantly contributing to regional socio-economic growth. During the visit, opportunities for expanding cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank Group in industry, education, social infrastructure, and entrepreneurship were also reviewed.
