Istanbul hosts conference on Armenians` genocide acts against Turks and Azerbaijanis
Ankara, April 23 (AZERTAC). Istanbul has hosted a conference dedicated to genocide acts committed by Armenians against Turks and Azerbaijanis.
The conference, organized by Istanbul Turkey-Azerbaijan Association, brought together Azerbaijan`s Consul General in Istanbul Jeyhun Mammadov, and public figures and historians.
Chairman of Istanbul Turkey-Azerbaijan Association Safar Karakoyunlu, professor of Sakarya University Aladdin Yalcinkaya and researcher Sukru Server Aya, made speeches at the event to expose the so-called Armenian genocide propaganda. They drew the participants` attention to Armenians-committed massacres in Anatolia and Azerbaijan, and presented supporting documents. The speakers noted Armenians had committed genocide against Turks five times.
They added that certain circles in the West were propagating the so-called Armenian genocide in their own political interests.
The event ended with demonstration of a documentary on the massacres committed by Armenians.
