Istanbul International Book Fair hosts presentation of “Leyli and Majnun” in Turkish

Nizami Ganjavi’s “Leyli and Majnun,” published in Turkish, was presented to the public at the 42nd International Book Fair in Istanbul.
The book was prepared within a project initiated by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Türkiye to translate all five epics of Nizami Ganjavi’s “Khamsa” from the original into modern Turkish, representing an important step toward making this Turkic literary masterpiece accessible to contemporary Turkish readers.
The works were translated by Nimet Yıldırım, Professor and translator at Erzurum Atatürk University in Türkiye.
A panel discussion was held as part of the book presentation program at the fair.
