Italian PM to visit Azerbaijan
Baku, June 29 (AZERTAC). Prime Minister of Italy Enrico Letta will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan, the PM told in his interview to New Europe newspaper.
The visit will feature discussions on TAP pipeline as Italian industrial policy is closely connected with this project. The PM noted that TAP is of great strategic importance.
“I would like to express my gratitude to Azerbaijan, as well as I will pay an official visit to Baku to discuss the future prospects of the project. For us this choice is not only important from the energy point of view, but it’s also strategic as the Caucasus is one of the areas of fast development. TAP is going to have a big impact on enterprises and on the countries involved especially if we talk about jobs,” Letta said.
