Italian wines to be presented in Azerbaijan
Baku, December 2 (AZERTAC). A wine tasting event, to be organized by the Italian embassy in Azerbaijan, will be held in Baku, on December 2-3.
The event will showcase wines from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a wine region in the far north-eastern corner of Italy.
Italian companies including “Cantarutti”, ”Castello di Buttrio”, “Castellodi Spessa”, “Colutta”, “Ermacora”, “İl Carpino”, “le Tenute”, “Livon” and “Luisa” will present their products.
Friuli-Venezia Giulia is innately disposed to be a white varietal specialist, which produces some exceptional wines. Wine enthusiasts regard this region as special because rather than having large-scale production centers, most of the wine producers are small but still pump out quality wines. The Friuli-Venezia Giulia region tends to have more weight as a white wine hotbed.
Many of its wine zones—specifically, those situated in the flatland of Friuli—receive the benefit of a propitious interaction between mountain air and warm sea currents. Their natural collaboration authors an environment of rare moderation, one in which the grapes realize rich fruit flavors while retaining their incisive acidity.
