Key priorities of global energy agenda discussed with ACWA Power

Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, met on Tuesday with Mohammad Abunayyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power, on the margins of the Baku Energy Week.
The two highlighted the growing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly in the field of renewable energy.
Minister Jabbarov emphasized the importance of collaboration with Saudi investors in advancing Azerbaijan’s green energy transition goals. He assessed the project implemented by ACWA Power to build the largest wind power plant in the Caucasus region in Azerbaijan and the progress made in the field of seawater desalination.
The meeting also focused on key priorities of the global energy agenda, the imperative of transitioning toward sustainable and resilient business models, and explored prospects for deepening collaboration in the fields of green energy and seawater desalination.
