MEETING IN CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION OF AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC
Having welcomed the visitors, chairman of the Central Election Commission has stated that is glad to meet with representatives of such authoritative structure, as the European Union. Having noted, that the election commissions annually carry out elections, the CEC Chairman informed in detail on preparation for municipal elections forthcoming on December 17, these year.
It is known that preparation and carrying out of municipal elections demands from the election commissions hard work. Since 2000 the Central Election Commission brings preliminary results of elections to the notice of public in the evening, on the day of voting, and it already became tradition. Now, we aspire to equip polling districts by this electronic equipment that preliminary results forthcoming on December 17 municipal elections could be informed to the public in the shortest terms.
Having expressed gratitude for the detailed information, Mr. Heike Talvitie has taken interest in the work, which has been carried out, in the field of increase of legal knowledge of members of the local election commissions and their instructing.
At the meeting, also there was the vice-president of the Central Election Commission Svetlana Gasimova and the head of Secretary of Central Election Commission Chingiz Alakbarov.
