Minister: Azerbaijan and Qatar enjoy multifaceted relations

Co-chairman of the Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Qatar, Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov, attended the official reception marking the National Day of Qatar, organized by the country`s embassy in Azerbaijan.
In his remarks, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov congratulated the people of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, and wished the State of Qatar peace and continuous progress.
Highlighting the strong and enduring bond between Azerbaijan and Qatar, he noted their long-standing diplomatic ties, which is built on friendship and mutual respect. Kamaladdin Heydarov emphasized that the two countries enjoy multifaceted relations which are constantly growing.
The activities of the Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission between Azerbaijan and Qatar were also highlighted. Noting that the 4th meeting of the Commission, held in November 2025, marked a key step for economic ties between the two countries, the Minister highlighted the inaugural 1st meeting of the Azerbaijan-Qatar Joint Business Council organized as part of the meeting.
The Minister touched upon the ongoing, mutually beneficial collaboration between Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and Qatar's related agencies, emphasizing the mutual benefits of enhancing ties across various areas.
