PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION TO VISIT UKRAINE AND BULGARIA
The delegation will be consist of Deputies Vagif Abdullayev, Vladimir Timoshenko, Elton Mammadov, Elman Mammadov, Head of the Parliament’s International Relations Department Namig Aliyev and other officials.
According to the press service of the Milli Majlis, on the 23rd a Constituent Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of GIUUAM will be held at the Supreme Rada of Ukraine to sign the relevant Declaration.
On September 24, speaker Murtuz Alasgarov will meet with President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, Chairman of the Supreme Rada Vladimir Litvin and Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich to exchange views on the current state and prospects of development of the relations between our two countries, and on expanding of the interparliamentary cooperation.
On the same day, our delegation is expected to visit Kiev national University named after Taras Shevchenko, where the Speaker of the Azerbaijan Parliament will be awarded the Diploma of Honorary Doctor of the University.
In the course of the trip, the members of the delegation will also meet with Azerbaijanis residing in Ukraine and visit the Embassy of Azerbaijan to this country.

From September 23 to 27, the delegation of the Azerbaijan Parliament will be staying in Bulgaria for an official visit. Here, Chairman Murtuz Alasgarov will meet with Bulgarian President Georgiy Pyrvanov, Chairman of the country’s Parliament, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss mutually interesting issues.
A meeting of the Bulgaria -Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group is also expected during the visit.
The delegation will also visit the city of Plovdiv, where it will meet with the city Mayor and familiarize with its historical and cultural monuments.
The visit will end on October 1.
