Peace and Reconciliation Park inaugurated in Astana
Astana, September 18, AZERTAC
On September 18, the Peace and Reconciliation Park was inaugurated in Astana.
This unique park was founded as part of Kazakhstan's initiative to host the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, with the aim to strengthen interfaith and intercultural dialogue.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the 8th Congress, as well as Maulen Ashimbayev, Kazakh Senate Speaker and head of the Secretariat.
According to the project's creators, water and the tree of life represent the eternal and universal value of life, and an area is designated to promote harmony, peace, and friendship among all people, transcending differences in beliefs.
The dome symbolizes the entire world under one sky, and its four entrances represent the fundamental cardinal directions: South, North, West, and East. The walls of the dome contain images depicting the creation of the world, events of historical importance for Kazakhstan, and famous ancient cave paintings - petroglyphs.
