PHOTO EXHIBITION ON PROBLEMS OF MISSING PERSONS OPENS IN BAKU

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has opened today the regional photo exhibition on problems of missing persons in Baku.

The exhibition titled “Help Clarify Their Fate” is organized to commemorate the International Day of Disappeared.

The event is taking place at the Union of Theatre Employees from 30 August to 7 September.

The exhibition features more than 50 photos of families of those unaccounted for in conflict areas worldwide, including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The exhibition is aimed at heightening awareness among authorities, military, general public, international and national organizations, including the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, about the tragedy of people who disappear during armed conflict or internal violence, said Susana Lopez, protection coordinator of the ICRC delegation in Azerbaijan.
