PRESIDENT ALIYEV MEETS FRENCH COUNTERPART SARKOZY

President of Azerbaijan inspected the Guard of Honor lined up in his honor. President Sarkozy met Ilham Aliyev at the entrance to the Palace.
During the meeting, both Presidents underlined that relations between the two countries were successfully developing in political, economic and other fields.
President of France expressed his confidence that current visit of Mr. Ilham Aliyev to Paris would make certain contribution to developing the bilateral relations.
The sides also touched on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Speaking about Armenia’s military aggression against Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev stated that over one million of Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs as a result of ethnic cleanse. “The conflict must be solved only in the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity”, the Head of the Azerbaijani State emphasized.
